Upon entry to the Unit Cost Repository page, the grid will display the results from all studies and GRNE estimates. To filter for specific characteristics, select from the characteristics in the "Key characteristic selection" drop-down menus. To return from the filtered selection results to a grid where all results are displayed, click on the "Restore All" button. If you would like to include studies that only have user fee/incremental cost information, you must choose "Both" under the "Avbl. Cost Breakdown" characteristic selection drop-down.
Studies available for the selected characteristics will be displayed in the grid box, in alphabetical order by category of intervention. You may have the studies displayed in alphabetical order by another characteristic (such as "Country") by clicking on the column heading for that characteristic.
To facilitate use of the unit cost repository , unit costs for HIV/AIDS treatment are grouped into the following intervention categories: “Pre-ART” (HAART, first line or second line), “”ART” (HAART, first line or second line), “PMTCT”, and “Pediatric treatment”.
A quality review score is provided in the “Quality score/review link” column for each of the prevention. The score gives measure of the extent to which the author has provided sufficient detail for the user to fully understand, and have confidence in, the listed unit cost. Each study was scored on a scale of 0 to 80. Those studies in the 0-24 point range are considered to be of poor quality, those in the 25-34 point range of fair quality, those in 35-49 point range of good quality, the and those above 50 points of excellent quality. The quality reviews can be downloaded in Excel format by clicking on the score listed in “Quality score/review link” column.
IMPORTANT: The grid is limited by the size constraints of the page to showing only the "Category of Intervention", "Investment Framework", "Primary Population","Country", "Sector", "Service delivery location", "Income level", "HIV epidemic category", "Cost Data Year","Unit of Measurement", "Economic unit cost","Financial unit cost", "Cost duration" and "Quality score/Review link". However, there are numerous other categories where more information is available for each study. To view this supplemental information, please click on the symbol in the column to the right labeled "More Info" for the study you would like to see. Tabs will appear, with the following headings and categories of information in each:
